In English, we've often referred to Goji Berry as "Wolfberry." Oddly enough, the original Chinese name has made it's way into the English vernacular so less and less over times is the word wolfberry used by anyone.
Goji or Wolfberry: Which is proper?
Technically, if you're speaking English, it is proper to call them Wolfberries, although it means exactly the same thing as Goji. However, if you are speaking to a Chinese-speaking person who is familiar with Goji, then that person may think that they've never heard of a wolfberry, so you should of course use the word Goji with them.
To further confuse the matter, if you are speaking to a native Chinese speaker, they would pronounce the word Goji more like Gow-dzue although still spell it goji in english letters.
Why is Goji the more popular word in English?
The popularity of the word Goji is in direct proportion to the marking of Goji-based MLM products. As soon as wolfberries were brought to the USA, some entrepreneur had the idea to make a Multi-Level-Marketing product and company based around them. However, their product name just sounded better with the word "Goji" in the title, and hence the name stuck in the brand-new market.

Question: Anti-aging supplement? Raw foods?
My grandma is 78 and looks 58! She's taking a variety of supplements religiously.
Just wondering if there's anything anyone can recommend that has kept them youthful, energetic, and with GLOWING SKIN, like my grandmother.
I know there are the Goji Berry drinks and such things. And of course the raw foods way of eating.
What are your thoughts? What do you live by/take/eat religiously?
Thanks
