Planting Goji

Question: what conditions are suitble for goji berry growth?
I recently brought a Goji berry plant for £3 from a mail order website however it is very small and weak looking with falling of leaves and i'm not sure if it need to treat it or if the conditions are wrong... Do they need treatment and what condiions are needed?
Answer: These plants originate from the Himalaya's, they are hardy to -15C. they will tolerate drought and over watering and will grow in shade or sun. So as you can see they are pretty easy to grow but you need to get yours started. Plant in 5+1/2" pot of good compost, do not feed at this stage, and water moderately. Keep in a greenhouse or well lit window cill until plant is showing signs of recovery. You can then plant it outdoors giving it a dose of general fertiliser. I prefer the liquid form. Should do fine. The plants grow wild in hedgerows in East Anglia and some southern counties of UK. Sometimes called Wolf Berries.

Goji berries are also known to promote longevity. In fact, adding goji berries to your diet can help you fight common signs of aging. Goji berries are also especially important to your circulatory system. Plus, they contain a high concentration of iron. This makes goji berries a great choice for those on vegetarian diets who may not consume iron, which is most commonly found in red meat, from other dietary sources.
Among its other benefits, the goji berry can also help relieve headaches and promote restful sleep. It also aids in digestion and can boost metabolism. They are even high in protein.
