Why haven’t I heard of the Goji Berry before?

If you haven’t spent a lot of time China then you most certainly have only learned about the goji berry in the last decade or less. Before then, the Chinese have carefully kept this secret for 5,000 years or more, despite it being the #1 cure across Asia for a large array of different medical problems the whole time.

Only in the mid 1990’s have goji berries been introduced to the west, where we sometimes call them ‘wolfberries.’ And if that weren’t confusing enough, a few of the companies out there marketing goji claim that their goji is from Tibet or the Himalayas, which is simply impossible because all species of the goji tree will only grow in warm climates!

The source of all the best goji is in China’s northern Ningxia province. Many of the people who live there live to be over 120 years of age and all of them happily work energetically until the day they die.

Six other species of the goji berry tree exist in China too, but none as potent as the Ningxia goji, which grows in the most fertile, nutrient-dense soil in Asia. All over China it is revered by doctors and scientists alike, and remedies made with the goji berry haven’t changed much from the earliest medical writings found 5,000 years ago!
