Question: recommendations for a simple raw cookbook?

I want to try eating raw a little bit more, and I'm looking for a good intro-type recipe book. I want a book that doesn't rely a ton on a dehydrator, as I don't have one and I don't plan to buy one any time soon. I'd also prefer one without a lot of expensive foods (e.g. goji or acai berries). Any recommendations?

Answer: I would suggest looking online first. There are millions of raw recipes, and once you know what all of the ingredients are, it's won't be difficult to find dishes that won't break the bank. Try for simple recipes first. If you want to make it easier for yourself, try buying foods at a bulk super market; hat way you get more food for less. A support group might help you get acclimated to a rawer diet. Try this website. You can look over all the link, but this one has a list of support groups in different cities. I hope this helps you. I'm also trying to being more raw foods into my diet.

A Goji Morning

• 2 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder
• 1 cup of skim milk
• 1/2 cup Tibetan Goji Berries (soak over night optional)
• ½ cup of low fat peach yogurt
• 1 tbs of flaxseed oil
• 1 tbs of safflower oil, pinch of cinnamon.

Blend for 2 minutes, and enjoy

Healthy Breakfast Smoothie

Well you have heard and tried banana, berry, and strawberry smoothies in different flavors. How about a healthy breakfast smoothie? Literally packing breakfast smoothie with variety of fruits coupled with protein, vitamins and omega-3. Creation and imagination is in your hand. Making a balance healthy smoothie is not that difficult.

Healthy Smoothie Ingredients: Make sure all the ingredients are already available and kept at one place so that you don’t forget or scramble to get items during smoothie preparation.

Ingredients
1 Apple
1 banana
Half pomegranate or 1 Kiwi or 1 sapodilla fruit
1/2 cup fresh/frozen black or blue berries
1 cup orange juice
2 table spoon of butter (fat free – peanut or vegetable or pure butter from milk)
1 cup of yogurt without any flavor
1 table spoon of flaxseed oil
Optional: Adding cheese, tofu or soy milk as per your taste.

Healthy Breakfast Smoothie Directions: First peal apple, banana and other fruits and keep it in on side. Next start chopping fruit into small pieces so that they mix well with other ingredients. Keep butter, oil, juice and yogurt ready in small measuring cups. If you plan to add cheese, tofu then makes small pieces for easy mix. Now move on to actual preparation.

Directions

1. First clean the blender and dry it with clean towel.
2. Start putting chopped fruits into the blender.
3. Close the lid and start the blender. Blend until smooth.
4. Add thick ingredients such as butter, cheese, tofu or peanut butter until it blends smooth.
5. Add orange juice, flaxseed oil until it blends smooth.
